I am a very busy person who works with special needs children. I find myself on my feet moving for 16 hours at a time but my work dress code does not allow for athletic footwear. I have tried Cole Haan Nike Air, Ecco, Naturalizer, Aerosole, Merrell,and the list goes on. While they are all great shoes, none of them kept my knees and back from hurting after my longest days. I am pain free after any day in these shoes. Plus, I get compliments from everyone on how cute they are, including our ultra-picky CEO!
I did end up having to reorder these shoes as I made the same mistake as others and assumed I would be my normal size-you WILL have to go up one size. I have always been an 8 in every shoe for 15 years and these were the exception where I had to order the 39. Also, the top of the shoe is stiff at first but it breaks in very quickly (two wears in my case). The only reason I gave these shoes 4 instead of 5 stars is because the sizing thing was a real hassle.

 An absolute CURE for my feet

Let me just start by saying I have plantar fasciitis in both my feet. I had to go to the podiatrist to get cortisone shots in both my feet because they hurt so much. On top of that, I had plans to visit and tour Rome. I knew I had a lot of walking in my near future and was concerned I wouldn’t be able to walk and ruin our vacation plans. My Dr. recommended Dansko shoes for my vacation. I saw the price of these shoes and didn’t want to make the investment without knowing these would work for me, but I was running out of time. Scared of Dansko’s prices, I saw these on super sale on Amazon and I bought them without trying them on. They were a little tight at first, but they quickly loosened up. Before leaving for Rome, there was a spot on my foot that was still in pain and it was too late to see the Dr. for another shot. I brought a ton of advil with me just in case. I never needed it. I was able to walk EVERYWHERE. By the time I got home, my feet felt PAINLESS. I wear these around the house because my feet feel so good in them (and being barefoot is painful). I also like how they look – different from the typical chunky Dankso clog look. I have since bought 2 more pairs of Dankso shoes. I hope the new ones work as well as these did for me.

 Dansko Summer Clog

Beautiful shoe, impossible to get on even though it is the correct size. The band over the top of the foot with the decoration would need to stretch probably over an inch. Cannot get my foot into the shoe to even attempt to stretch it. Returned for larger size.
